Association of Cable Communicators Expands Professional Development Services
Organization Launches an Online Education Portal and Will Offer Monthly E-learning Programs
Washington, DC – As part of its continuing efforts to broaden the array of services and professional tools available to its members, the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC) announced today it is expanding its professional development offerings through its recent launch of an online education portal in the members-only area of its award-winning Web site www.CableCommunicators.org and its commitment to offer monthly, online education programs, alternating between webinars and online chats.
"ACC continually strives to further the professional development of our members," said Steve Jones, executive director of ACC. "With the launch of this new online education portal, the organization will build the best online library of programs for cable communicators and will offer monthly e-learning programs."
ACC is building a library of long-form videos, audio files, recorded webinars and online chat transcripts addressing topics of interests to cable communicators as part of its online education portal in the members-only area of ACC's Web site. The 11 self-paced programs in the portal are drawn from FORUM 2008: Access the Power: Connect. Communicate. Transform and from ACC's monthly e-learning offerings. Some of the topics covered are linking corporate leadership with the front line, the power of PR: how it can drive ad sales and RGUs, and taking that next step as a communications executive. This new portal also serves as the gateway to ACC's live webinars.
ACC kicked off its schedule of monthly e-learning programs with its September 4 webinar "The ROI Imperative: PR and Meaningful Business Outcomes." This will be followed by the October 29 webinar "Take Your Educational Outreach Efforts to the Next Level by Meeting Business Goals and Outreaching to More Educators" and a November online chat about strategic community relations. Beginning in December, ACC will alternate between monthly webinars and online chats. The association also hosted online chats in February and July 2008, and the transcripts are available at the new, online education portal.
