FORUM 2005 Opens with Top Cable ExecutivesSpeakers Will Address "Expanding Cable's Connections"
Washington, D.C. - Today the Cable Television Public Affairs Association (CTPAA) announced that several top cable executives will participate during the Opening General Session of FORUM 2005, May 1-4 at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C. The general sessions will reflect the conference theme, "Expanding Cable's Connections," as it relates to the need for cable public affairs professionals to connect with even greater numbers of customers, policy leaders, and members of the media in order to communicate cable's ever expanding range of products and services.
On Monday, May 2, the Opening General Session will feature six innovative executives on such topics as cable's expanding opportunities, competition, policy and the critical role of public affairs. Executives confirmed for the session include George Bodenheimer, President, ESPN, Inc. & ABC Sports; Patrick Esser, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Cox Communications Inc.; Debra Lee, President & COO, Black Entertainment Television; Henry Schleiff, Chairman and CEO, Courtroom Television Network LLC; and Michael Willner, President & CEO, Insight Communications. Susan Swain, Co-COO & Executive Vice President, C-SPAN Networks will moderate the panel.
FORUM is the cable industry's annual educational event dedicated to the issues facing public affairs professionals. The three-day program will feature general and breakout sessions on community relations, government relations, communications/technology, and public affairs fundamentals.
