ACC to Host Executive Coaching at FORUM 2008

Washington, DC ––As part of its continuing effort to broaden the array of services and professional tools available to its members, the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC) announced today it is expanding Career Connections, its mentoring and professional development program, to include on-site, executive coaching appointments at FORUM 2008: "ACCess the Power:  Connect.  Communicate.  Transform."  ACC's annual educational event will be held March 30 - April 2, 2008, at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.

"ACC is committed to furthering the professional development of its members," said Steve Jones, executive director of ACC.  "Enabling them to meet with executive coaches at FORUM 2008 will give members the opportunity to determine which goals, skills and actions would be most personally relevant for them to pursue."

ACC has recruited three executive coaches with extensive experience in communications, public affairs and the cable industry to meet with FORUM 2008 attendees during one-hour appointments.  These veteran coaches will be able to help ACC members assess their leadership and communication skills to increase their effectiveness, work more effectively with senior executives and staff, problem solve an issue in their current job situation, strategize the next phase of their careers, and define goals for their future.

Executive coaches typically charge $150 - $300 per one-hour sessions.  ACC has negotiated a reduced, $75 fee for a one-hour session to give FORUM 2008 attendees the opportunity to experience the benefits of coaching while attending ACC's annual educational conference.
