Association of Cable Communicators Wins MarCom Award
ACC Honored with Gold Award for "Web Site Overall"Washington, DC – Just months after revamping its Web site, www.CableCommunicators.org, the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC) received the MarCom Gold Award in the category of "Web Site Overall". Administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the MarCom Awards is an international, creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals and is presented to entrants that exceed the high standards of the industry norm.
"As the cable industry's only national, professional services organization devoted to excellence in communications, the Association of Cable Communicators strives to maintain that same level of excellence in its own communications," said Steve Jones, executive director of ACC. "We relaunched our Web site earlier this year to broaden the array of services and professional tools available to our members, and it's gratifying to have a panel of communications experts identify ACC's Web site as a benchmark for the industry."
ACC received the MarCom Gold Award for its recently enhanced online home, which serves as a focal point for cable communicators across the country. The site incorporates relevant and continually refreshed information, e-learning and Web 2.0 services such as the recently launched Beacon Award blog. ACC's submission competed against more than 5,000 entries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
