Michelle Butler Promoted to Director, Membership Programs & Development

Washington, DC - Michelle Butler, Manager, Membership Services for the Cable Television Public Affairs Association (CTPAA), has been promoted to Director, Membership Programs & Development for the association, CTPAA said today.

"Michelle has distinguished herself by significantly enhancing the Beacon Awards program in addition to other membership services, most notably the creation of the Best Practices area of the CTPAA Web site," said Steve Jones, executive director, CTPAA. "This promotion recognizes her contributions to CTPAA's efforts to serve its members and increase the profile of cable public affairs professionals in the industry."

Butler, who joined CTPAA in 2001, manages the annual Beacon Awards program, the association's annual industry wide recognition program for excellence in cable television public affairs, and helps to coordinate the association's other membership services and development. She reports to Steve Jones, executive director.

Prior to joining CTPAA, Butler served as public affairs coordinator for Time Warner Cable in Austin, Texas.
