2016 Beacon Awards®
Recognizing The Best Among Us in Cable 1989 – 2016

Each Year the Association of Cable Communicators Sponsors the Beacon Awards Competition, Cable’s Highest Award for Communications and Public Affairs Excellence. Beacon Award Finalists and Winners Achieve Peer, Industry and Local Market Recognition for Their Exemplary Work While Setting a Standard for Their Colleagues to Emulate.

The Beacon Awards® Ceremony will be one of the highlights of ACC’s annual conference, FORUM 2016, June 20-22 in New York City. Check back frequently for updates on the 2016 Beacon Awards®.

Four Easy Steps For Submitting A Beacon Award Entry

Step 1
Determine Eligibility. Eligible entrants for the Beacon Awards are cable operators, regional and national cable networks, state and regional associations, marketing co-ops and vendors, including hardware and software providers. Entrants who are not currently ACC members must pay the nonmember entry fee and will become ACC members for six months. Entries must represent work executed and results achieved between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.

Step 2
Choose a Category and Classification. Select a category (type of project) and classification (type of organization) from the options detailed in the “The Beacon Categories" of the 2016 Beacon Awards. Indicate your selections on the entry form.

Step 3
Develop the Project Summary. Each entry must be accompanied by a project summary. The project summary should be one-(highly preferred) to one-half pages and cover the three sections detailed in the "Creating the Project Summary" area of the 2016 Beacon Awards. Each section of the summary, Planning & Strategy, Implementation and Results should be clearly marked.

Step 4
Package the Entry. Your Beacon Award entry must include (a) the project summary mentioned in Step 3; (b) the completed entry form and (c) payment. Optionally, you can add to your entry three files of your strongest support materials (e.g., photographs, letters of support, etc.) and three minutes of video highlights. (See the options for submitting support materials and video described on "Submitting Support Materials" area of the 2016 Beacon Awards.)

Send Entry to ACC. Email your entry no later than March 18, 2016, to services@cablecommunicators.org. Or send it to: ACC; Beacon Awards; 9259 Old Keene Mill Road, Suite 202, Burke, VA 22015.
