Time Warner Cable - Waco, TX
Movies in Your ParkThe Movies in Your Park series was designed to position Time Warner Cable as a good corporate citizen in the community while providing a fun, family-oriented evening in areas with competitive service providers.  The event brought family-friendly movies like “We Are Marshall” and the “Wizard of Oz” to Killeen and Hewitt, Texas.  A children’s zone, door prizes and sales incentives were provided at the events and a Best Seat in the Park contest was created through partnership with a furniture store. Special guests at the events included United States Representative Chet Edwards, local elected officials, and, of course, Wizard of Oz costumed characters.  Approximately 1,300 people attended the events.

Random Acts of Kindness Day
EO-BG-01
Events & Observances (Seven or Fewer Days) - Cable System 3
Cox Communications New England - West Warwick, RI
Random Acts of Kindness DayIn the spring of 2007, Verizon began an assault on Cox New England, investing millions of dollars in local advertising to promote its new FiOS products. Verizon’s advertising was ubiquitous– billboards, broadcast, print and direct mail. Verizon was getting the attention of Cox’s customers – and employees. As Verizon’s presence increased, employee morale decreased. Cox wanted to develop an event that would increase employee morale and generate enthusiasm that would resonate with employees and customers. Thus, it created Random Acts of Kindness Day. Over 100 employees were deployed into the City of Warwick where they delivered numerous good deeds. This one-day event demonstrated Cox’s commitment to the community, engaged employees in Cox’s charitable work and increased employee morale.
