VH1 Classic Rock AutismIn April 2007 VH1 Classic launched its first-ever, pro-social campaign entitled “VH1 Classic Rock Autism.”  The initiative is designed to help educate parents and build awareness about autism, a complex neurobiological developmental disorder, and to raise funds for a variety of autism research, advocacy, and support organizations.  VH1 Classic aims to galvanize a community of artists and fans in support of this cause.  This year’s campaign components included a rock star-studded public service announcement, a VH1 Classic Rock Autism Web site complete with information and links to autism resources, VH1 Classic News Breaks, and fundraising efforts on behalf of such iconic rock bands as Twisted Sister, Def Leppard, and Journey.
