Operation Education
Events and Observances (More than 7 Days) - Cable System I
Time Warner Cable
Waco, TX
Operation EducationOperation Education was a strategic plan of several events throughout an extended time period that positioned Time Warner Cable as a corporate leader in education and technology. The strategy focused on educators, students and their families. Time Warner Cable embarked on a series of projects during Operation Education that included events with a reach to state education leaders, school district administration down to the local schools and their students and parents. The events were designed to strengthen Time Warner Cable’s relationships with district administrators and educators as they work together to engage students in learning through integrated resources and projects. The initiatives allowed Time Warner Cable to bring its products, educational initiatives and Cable in the Classroom programming to the forefront of the education community.

A Hero's Farewell; A New Era Begins
Events and Observances (More than 7 Days) - MSO
Cox Communications
Atlanta, GA
A Hero's FarewellAfter 20 years as President and CEO of Cox Communications and a pioneer in the cable telecommunications industry, beloved Jim Robbins announced his retirement. Pat Esser, our COO, was named his successor. Within a two-week timeframe, the PR team put together a multi-month plan to respectfully bid farewell to Robbins, and simultaneously build enthusiasm and support around Esser. The tactics included employee roasts, celebrations, a hilarious video parody, and videotaped and printed employee tributes for Robbins. Esser launched an internal blog to communicate a “behind-the-scenes” look at his ascent, and he built rapport with employees through a “listening tour.”
