Nomination Process
In the fall, ACC will invite its members to nominate a partner organization or individual. The simple application process will consist of three questions: Who are you nominating? How do you work with this individual or organization? Why should this nominee win the award? In addition, Beacon Award judges will be invited to nominate partners described in Beacon Award entries for the Bridges Award the following year. There will be a line at the bottom of the Beacon Award judging form where judges can indicate that they would like to nominate a certain entry and partner involved in a particular project for the award. It will look like this:
ACC Community Bridges Award
Yes
No
Name of Partner: _______________________
This award recognizes the exceptional efforts and input from a non-cable industry partner in a public affairs initiative.
ACC will review all the nominated entries and determine which entries/partners should be passed on to the final judging committee to review. For those nominees stemming from past Beacon Awards entries, this will be partially based on the overall score of the Beacon Award entry and the depth of the involvement of the partner.
