With the decision to sign on as the title sponsor for the Charter Communications Long Beach Sea Festival, Charter gained a remarkable platform for its brand, products and community values. Comprised of 111 events between June 21 and August 30, 2007, the Festival showcased Charter’s brand and products throughout a series of community-based events prominently in the heart of a competitor’s new entry footprint in Long Beach. The Festival provided “exclusivity” to Charter and its products, effectively “locking out” the local competitor.  Charter’s sponsorship increased media coverage and community goodwill and earned the company kudos from the City, customers and the community at large.
